Surgical First Assistant
Job DescriptionThis position is full-time, day shift.Main Function:The Surgical First Assistant renders patient care by assisting the surgeon during operative procedures. The Assistant functions under the direction of the operating surgeon during the patient's surgical experience. The Assistant provides support to the surgeon by assisting with exposure and visualization, hemostasis, wound closure and other technical functions that will help assure a safe surgical procedure. The Assistant performs other related tasks under the direction of the Circulating Nurse and reports to the Clinical Manager of the Operating Room.Duties and Responsibilities:
