Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
The Emergency Department has 25 rooms with 2 triage rooms, 2 psychiatry "low stim" rooms, 2 negative airflow rooms and 3-4 rooms are run as 'Fast Track"/urgent care rooms. Most frequent presenting problems are chronic illness with acute exacerbation's and acute problems are mainly of cardiac, respiratory, and gastrointestinal origin. This is a temporary position, not to exceed 09/2024. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency.
