DescriptionTelemetry tech monitors cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment. Interprets basic cardiac rhythms, common dysrhythmia and monitor mechanical malfunctions Run monitor strips every four hours and measures and documents the PR, the QRS, and the QT interval. Posts strips on the chart every four hours. Assumes secretarial duties and answers phones. Notifies the RN of any arrythmias and cardiac changes. Will demonstrate patient advocacy as it relates to patient rights, confidentiality, and privacy. Assume accountability for work performed. Follow all hospital and department standard
