The role you’ll contribute:
A professional registered nurse manager who is responsible for the coordination of the activities, as well as evaluating the quality of patient care that is delivered in the Cardiac Cath Lab/ Interventional Radiology Suite, Cardiac Cath/ IR Recovery Unit and Cardiac Rehabilitation.The manager will act as a liaison between the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Recovery and Cardiac Rehabilitation personnel and the medical staff and other hospital personnel to provide quality care for the patients in the Cardiac Cath lab/ IR Suite, Cardiac Cath/IR Recovery Unit and Cardiac Rehabilitation department.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Supervises and Coordinates Radiology clerical functions. Performs receptionist and clerical duties, including scheduling, order entry, filing and report printing sorting and distribution. Reviews lists and follows up as needed to ensure completion and closure of ordered procedures. Trains Radiology staff in clerical duties and use of computer systems. Responsibility to adhere to the Gordon Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for duties in the clerical area utilizing computer, fax, file and office equipment to perform the clerical and file functions in the Imaging Department.
Answers the Radiology phone and distributes calls.
Maintains accurate system for mailing and retrieving films according to policy and procedure of the Imaging Department.
Maintains work station/area and equipment in acceptable working order and cleanliness.
Ensures inventories are maintained properly, commensurate with the duty station.
Participates constructively in radiology department meetings.
Maintains a good working relationship with medical staff, physician office staff, supervisors, and hospital personnel.
Checks in patients and answers phones.
Participates in Performance Improvement projects as needed.
Burns CD of images according to policy and procedure of the Imaging Department.
Scans patient’s information and images into PACS when needed.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to type and perform order entry on computer System, as well as retrieve information.
Must possess general clerical skills, as well as good communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Communication skills as necessary for contacts with patients and families of adult, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric age groups.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
