The role you’ll contribute:
The Respiratory Services Women’s Center Team Leader coordinates and supervises all aspects of Respiratory Therapy within the Women’s Health Pavilion in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. Along with department leaders, he/she is responsible for staffing and scheduling WHP team members to provide adequate coverage for provision of care for all patients with pulmonary needs in those specialty areas. He/she develops strong relationships with physicians and other referral sources and ensures compliance with the established pulmonary programs. He/she also maintains open and on-going communications with their leaders to ensure patient, staff, and facility needs are met. This person must maintain ongoing clinical competence requiring regular clinical practice and taking a patient assignment as situations warrant, including assisting Physicians with specialty procedures, performing patient transports, and monitoring staff documentation. Appropriate activities include attendance in all department meetings, staff scheduling, and supervision of the RT team in the WHP areas for provision of direct patient care. Staff development and improvement of clinical skills for the clinical team is also a priority of this position and inclusive of RT and RN education support. The expectation for the Team Lead is to be an Ambassador to patients and families for better patient outcomes and satisfaction; monitoring of documentation and overseeing revenue cycle and charges, process improvement department program and department safety officer. Assists with new employee on-boarding and yearly educational competencies for the WHP RT staff.

·Direct Supervision of RT roles 13545 Neo-Natal Transport and 13957 Rep Therapist – PCCS ·Assist Department Director in Labor Management including time and attendance and financial operations with supplies and capital equipment needs assessment ·Rounds on new patients and patients with respiratory modalities ·Creates a patient-centered atmosphere that breeds excellent clinical and service outcomes
·Assists with patient satisfaction/patient experience to assure patients are receiving quality care
·Coordinates patient care plans with multidisciplinary team
·Provides clinical services to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex.
·Oversees respiratory participation in interdisciplinary team meeting with CUSP meetings
·Rounds daily with physicians in assigned areas
·Receives feedback from staff on ways to improve department and team
·Provides for employee recognition
·Assists with regular staff meetings
·Fosters a positive relationship with Respiratory Therapists team members and all other hospital personnel
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Graduate of accredited Respiratory Therapy School with a minimum of an AS/AAS degree ·Current National Board of Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential ·Minimum of three (3) years acute care experience with 1-2 years of supervisory experience (Supervisor, Relief Team Leader, etc. included) ·Minimum of 3 years of experience in Neonatal and Pediatric services ·BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications per American Heart Association/American Academy of Pediatrics ·Current valid Florida State license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
