The Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. The selected candidate will collaborate with an established team of Adult Heart Transplant, Advanced Heart Failure, and Mechanical Circulatory Support Procedure specialists for the medical management of transplant patients and ventricular assist device recipients in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities will include preparing chart reviews, rounding on patients, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support, and participating in transplant selection and M&M committees. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years’ experience with cardiology, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support. Candidates must have a national Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are four (4) 10-hour days, with weekend call and holiday rotation as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

Memorial has the first accredited adult congenital heart program in the State of Florida and is the only ELSO Gold designated ECMO program in South Florida.
