The role you’ll contribute:
The Telemetry Tech responsibilities include but are not limited to; monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and follow chain of command for reporting any abnormalities.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Accurately interprets rhythm, rate, and morphology of strips.
Enters patient data into cardiac monitoring system, assures location of patient and monitor coincide.
Prepares and maintains patient record from admission to discharge through documentation of rhythm strips at predetermined intervals and with each change in rhythm.
Communicates changes in cardiac rhythm, rate, or morphology promptly to the primary care nurse and/or charge nurse.
Recognizes need for and initiates Rapid Response / Code Blue timely and accurately.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High School diploma or equivalent upon hire
Completion of Telemetry Education/Competency within 30 days of hire date
Ability to float between assignments.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Will assist Lead Tele Tech with department responsibilities.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and document information accurately.
Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
Ability to remain calm and focused during in stressful and/or emotionally charged situations.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to be highly detail oriented.
Highly analytical and detailed oriented.
Demonstrated customer service skills with a patient centric approach.
Basic hands-on computer knowledge and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
Effective communication skills, ability to deal well with people, ability to problem solve, ability to confront/resolve issues, ability to coach and motivate others, ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others.
Ability to work flexible hours, rotate call and weekends.
