MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to join our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit located in Dubuque, Iowa.

The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient rehabilitation and a strong desire to lead and grow this vital program to help serve our community.

• IPR Unit is located within Level 2 trauma hospital and includes collaborative multidisciplinary group of physicians and APPs

This opportunity is available to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physicians with inpatient rehabilitation experience. Interested candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and have experience managing complex medical rehabilitation cases. In addition, candidates should excel at collaboration with interdisciplinary care team including rehabilitation nurses, physical. speech, and occupational therapists, as well as consulting physicians/APPs.

MercyOne Dubuque's Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been providing the community with comprehensive rehabilitation for over 35 years. The inpatient rehab unit is currently a 9-bed department including an independent living apartment; however, the unit has opportunity for immediate growth up to 17 beds. Common diagnoses seen on the unit include stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain Barr&233; syndrome, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, orthopedic trauma, cardiac conditions with opportunity to grow under the supervision of incoming physician and support of an enthusiastic rehabilitation team. There is currently not a pediatric rehabilitation unit at this location.

We are proud that our MercyOne Dubuque inpatient rehab unit has been accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1989. CARF accreditation means our programs meet the highest standards in quality, safety, and outcome measures, which provide risk-reduction and accountability in our patient care.
