Physician-Emergency Medicine
Summary: The primary function of an Emergency Department Physician (MD or DO) is to work under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Medicine, providing medical care to patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department (or in certain situations, at other areas on the hospital grounds). Emergency physicians work collaboratively with other members of the Emergency Department staff including but not limited to physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, technicians, and other ancillary members of the department. Emergency physicians will also interface with community medical providers, hospitalists, and EMS providers. Training/License:
