The role you’ll contribute:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The Nurse is responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery. Primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost effective nursing care. To utilize the nursing process in the direction and administration of the medical and nursing plan of care.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Establishes and prioritizes patient care based on nursing assessment and patient/family needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Directs and implements a plan of care for all patients based on the medical and nursing diagnoses identified during the initial assessment and ongoing assessment.
Assures the documentation of the patient’s response to the medical and nursing plan of care in all areas of the electronic medical record in compliance with established nursing standards and protocols.
Performs a cardiovascular assessment according to Standards and Protocol.
Performs neurological assessment according to Standards and Protocol.
Provides care for the patient requiring cardiac monitoring Standards and Protocol.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Graduate of a school of Nursing.
Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
BLS
ACLS
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Graduate of an accredited school or nursing
Experience in a specialty area(s).
