Medical Instrument Technician (Diagnostic Ultrasound)
Diagnostic ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical purposes. Within this specialization there is a diverse range of ultrasound imaging sub-specialties. These include: diagnostic medical sonography-abdominal, neurologic, obstetrical/gynecologic, and ophthalmic; vascular technology-vascular and related organs; and breast ultrasound. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
