The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED). The incumbent will demonstrate successful nursing practice in the ED by using sound clinical judgment and characteristics of emergency nursing practice in assessment/reassessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning of interventions, outcome identification, and evaluation of human responses to care/treatment.
