St. Francis Medical Center (SFMC) has an excellent employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician to join an established practice located in Trenton, New Jersey.
The selected physician will join three Neurologists in a traditional adult Neurology outpatient practice that is committed to clinical excellence in patient care. This opportunity is open to full-time or part-time. Call will be shared with all members of the practice and is generally 1:4, including evenings and weekends. Experienced physicians as well as those who will be completing training are encouraged to apply.
The Neuroscience Institute at St. Francis provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for all patients with neurological disorders through prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition to care in neurological disorders, our physicians specialize in general neuromuscular disorders, muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's disease and stroke care.
We focus on the care of patients with the following neurological problems:
Neuromuscular Disorders
Epilepsy
Seizure Disorders
Headaches
Dementia
Peripheral nervous system
Neuropsychiatric Problems
The Neuroscience Institute Stroke Program combines highly trained staff, advanced technology and a concentration in patient education to bring quality and comprehensive stroke care to Mercer County and St. Francis patients. The Stroke Team consists of neurologists, emergency room staff, nurses, primary care physicians as well as radiologists to provide rapid care to those affected by stroke. At least one neurologist and nurse are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to respond quickly to stroke patients who are brought to the Medical Center.

Additionally, the Wound Care Center, features a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber and the hospital has a newly renovated walk in clinic, an Imaging Center featuring a 64-Slice CT Scanner and offers digital mammography. St. Francis is also home to the School of Nursing and School of Radiological Technology, in addition to several primary care and specialty practices known as LIFE Care Physicians.
