Join our incredible team at the Allina Health Surgery Center- Brooklyn Park! This is a joint-venture multi-specialty surgery center with SCA Health and Allina Health. All teammates are SCA Health Teammates. This brand new center is a beautiful space to serve our community in a meaningful way, and enjoy a better quality of life with a Monday-Friday work schedule, 8-paid holidays a year and no call. We are actively hiring for an Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU.
Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU:
Assess patientâ™s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health care organization policies and procedures to include the patientâ™s
Interpret information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
Implement the plan of care including the following interventions.
Evaluate the patientâ™s progress toward attaining outcomes.
Transfer care as needed.
Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patientâ™s condition and response to care.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU Requirements:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
One year of Pre-Operative or PACU experience required
Medical / surgical nursing experience
Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Physically demanding, high-stress environment
Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions
Pushing and pulling heavy objects
Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients and equipment
Manual and finger dexterity
Hand eye coordination
Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs
Corrected vision and hearing to within normal range
