"ABOUT ME": To succeed in this per-diem position, you must be knowledgeable and familiar with current protocols surrounding care of critically ill patients. Must also be willing to float to other units depending on facility needs. Additional training will be provided for specialized units. Strong communication skills and knowledge of current evidence-based practice are essential. If you are comfortable enough to hit the ground running in a new setting, this may be a good fit for you.

Position: Inpatient ICU RN

Required Education and Credentials

• Current RN license and good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification. 

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years full-time experience as an ICU RN within the last year.
• APRNs who apply must have recent bedside experience under RN scope of practice.
• Strong ACLS skills, recent EPIC experience, excellent understanding of ECG interpretation, experience caring for patients in critical condition, including sepsis, ARDS and multi-system organ failure.
• Proficiency with central lines, ventilator management, titrating vasopressors to target vitals, neurologic checks, wound drains and EVDs, and cardiac monitoring.
• Familiarity with post ACS/MI and CVA care protocols, good understanding of key labs and medications related to critical patient conditions.
• Rhythm interpretation skills will be verified by telemetry test prior to orientation.
