A medical instrument technician at this level performs routine procedures (Zio Patch, EKG, and routine implanted pacemaker and defibrillator evaluation) without the direct supervision of a Physician or Provider and appropriately communicates relevant information. The MIT also performs treadmill exercise stress test. The person incumbent to this role understands when physicians need to be consulted immediately. The EKG Technician utilizes knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
