The Respiratory Therapist is an integral part of the health care team, rendering a wide variety of respiratory care modalities and associated diagnostic services. The incumbent assesses, plans, implements and evaluates respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings within the hospital and is educated upon the special needs of the population for which he/she serves. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
