Fairview Health Services is looking for a Telemetry Monitor Technician (Tele Tech) for the Medical Surgical Unitat Fairview Ridges Hospital (Burnsville, MN) .
About this position:
This position is a 32hours every 2 weeks, working nights, 12 hours on weekend, and assigned holidays (7p-730a) and 8 hours Nights (11p-730a) during the week.
This position is eligible for a $900 Sign On Bonus!
The Telemetry Monitor Tech assumes delegated responsibilities as appropriate, and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines.
Duties may include:
Performs continuous, accurate observations and interpretations of rhythms while promoting safe monitoring
Demonstrates appropriate documentation and communication
Demonstrates proper maintenance and inventory of all equipment
Identifies and enters the patient information. Measures and reports intervals of the cardiac rhythm and other parameters at designated intervals. Reports significant changes in monitor patterns and follows the scope of practice expectations.
Accurately recognizes and reports life threatening arrhythmias (i.e. Asystole, Vfib, Vtach) following department protocols.
Assure constant coverage of patient monitoring station.
Demonstrates yearly competency in skills necessary to ensure adequate knowledge of ECG interpretation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
Completion of formal Medical Assistant, EMT, Nursing Assistant or other formal health science education program
Basic ECG training, reading and interpretation at time of hire or within 30 days
