Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
This RN is responsible for the Cardiac II and III patients exercising safely and effectively. They can interpret telemetry strips.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asses patients pre, during and post excersise. Conducts supervised exercise sessions for patients, monitoring participants for inappropriate responses to exercise.
Responsible for running telemetry and observations of telemetry responses.
Documents exercise sessions of Phase II patients in their records.
Reports any new changes in the patients condition to the primary provider and/or Medical Director.
Immediately notifies ER if patients condition deteriorates and requires hospitalization.
Initiates BLS measures as needed.
Ensures safety of patients at all times.
Demonstrates the interpersonal and observational skills needed to identify appropriate psychosocial adaptation to illness and/or the presence of psychopathology.
Oversee Exercise Assistants.
Contributes to the team to offer treatment strategies to provide positive outcomes for patients and the Cardiac Rehab program.
Effectively applies knowledge of exercise science to a population with cardiovascular disease and other potential co-morbidites.
Uses the patients individual care plan to guide advancing the exercise rate and/or duration.
Effectively supervises staff to complete daily office duties and procure supplies as needed.

Current Montana RN licensure.
Current BLS certification.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Current ACLS certification.
