The monitor technician is responsible for monitoring the cardiac and/or pulse oximetry monitors and noting changes in patients condition; findings are communicated in writing and verbally. The monitor technician is also responsible for assuring equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
High school diploma or GED is required. Successful completion of Monitor Technician course is required. Prior experience as a monitor technician is preferred.
