M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. We provide a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation.
Our clinical staff apply innovative approaches to creating medical breakthroughs based their work with patients and on findings through research at the University of Minnesota. This has led to several firsts, including the first successful pediatric blood marrow transplant, infant heart transplant in Minnesota and cochlear ear implant surgery for a child.

50 Pediatric Sub-Specialties available at Masonic Childrens Hospital; more subspecialties available than any other hospital in the Twin Cities.
RNs must have BLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC certification
40% of the Emergency Department Nurses are Pediatric Certified; Pediatric Nurse Certification or Pediatric Emergency Nurse Certification.
The Nurse Manager role will be managing the Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatric Vascular Access and the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool.
The Nursing Manager manages nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with and accountable to the Nursing Director.This includes: nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.
Manages day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.
Plans, manages, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
Manages equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.
Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.
Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.
Responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.
Drive improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.
In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/best practice clinical care is being delivered.
Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.
Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.
Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.
Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.
Bachelors degree in Nursing. If Bachelors degree is not in nursing must have a Masters degree is nursing
Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.
Licensed Registered Nurse. Ability to obtain Minnesota nursing license at time of hire.
