This position is located at the Knoxville Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, Knoxville,TN and supports the Network Mission to care for our Veterans with compassion and excellence. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care. This is an open continuous announcement. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available. Applications will remain on file until September 30, 2021. The selected candidate will follow established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the profession. Each Physician functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the entire staff. If selected, your basic responsibilities will include: Perform a full range of pulmonary services to include diagnosis, treatment and education of patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders. Delivering the best possible pulmonary care to our Veteran patients. Conduct general pulmonary outpatient clinics. Interpret pulmonary function tests and home sleep tests. Review oximetry results and prescribe supplemental oxygen when indicated. Provide physician guidance to the Respiratory Therapy department. Perform chart reviews for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation and peer reviews as necessary. Be responsible to document patient care data in electronic medical records such as history and physical exams. Maintaining good diagnostic, judgmental and therapeutic acumen. Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday) Financial Disclosure Report: Required This is an open continuous announcement.
