Pediatric Pulmonologist

Position: Full time faculty in Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University seeks a board certified/board eligible full-time clinical Pediatric Pulmonologist. Academic rank is contingent on qualifications. The Pulmonology Division provides care for children with all types of respiratory disease at Hasbro Children’s Hospital at Rhode Island Hospital, a state of the art quaternary care center in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to the general pulmonary practice, clinical programs include a Cystic Fibrosis Center; the Ventilator Integration Program, for children with complex respiratory and multisystem problems receiving positive pressure support outside of the hospital setting, and a multidisciplinary consultative service for assessment and ongoing support of neonates with bronchopulmonary dysplasia. An interest in program leadership and development is desirable and opportunities exist for the support of an ambitious faculty member to develop a new collaborative clinical program. Diagnostic services include comprehensive pulmonary function and exercise laboratories and a flexible bronchoscopy program. The faculty member will be supported to develop and maintain scholarly activities commensurate to prior training and interests. He/she will participate in departmental, hospital and/or university activities appropriate for rank. Hasbro Children's Hospital is the only pediatric tertiary/quaternary care center in Rhode Island. It is the primary pediatric teaching facility for The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and supports both Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs.
