RN Float Pool (Intermediate Care)

MHealth Fairview Health Services is looking for a RN in our Intermediate Care Float Pool department at MHealth Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a Night position, 12 hour shifts with every third weekend. Benefit eligible.

As an Intermediate Care Float Pool RN you will float to the Neuro units, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical and IMC units. In a less frequent capacity you may float to Orthopedic, Medical/tele unit, Observation and Oncology.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

• Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patients and familys diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patients condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
• Establish and implement nursing care plans for each patient through assessment, development, activation, evaluation and discharge.
• Organize, assign and supervise duties and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.
• Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility.

Required Qualifications

• MN RN License
• BLS for Health Care Providers
• 1 year acute care RN experience
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Ability to problem solve effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Neuro and cardiac care experience
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC)
• Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
• Proficient in the English language
• Attention to detail
• NIHSS
