Description JOB SUMMARY: The NP will serve as a coordinator of the recently launched Undiagnosed Disease Program. They will coordinate care of the patient. amongst the various MD providers and the research teams. They will also help with data collection, help with visit planning, formulation of evaluation reports, coordination of testing. The NP will participate in professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings. The NP will demonstrate a commitment to patient safety by speaking up about safety issues and changing practice to enhance safety and will share errors or potential errors through system reporting mechanisms. The NP will demonstrate shared accountability for safe practice. The NP may in certain instances provide direct patient care as a billing provider by demonstrating clinical expertise in assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and the therapeutic management of patients.The NP will use research and theoretical principles in implementing therapies that restore health, minimize complications, and manage risk factors as we strive to integrate patient care across the continuum of health care services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families, and patients. Position Qualifications: Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) and < 1 year experience. 12 months of nursing experience preferred; Inpatient acute care advanced practice nursing experience desirable.
