Job Summary

Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive assessment and care delivery while demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skills in the diagnosis and management of patients.*Practice 50% Pulmonary and 50% Sleep*Mostly outpatient clinic work but there could be periodic consults/visits in the hospital, at Jersey Shore Hospital. Clinic is on the hospital campus*Monday-Friday, typical clinic hours and no call*Join a team of 14 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers*Participate in educational programs for patients with chronic lung disease*Employ complex education strategies and interventions to promote, maintain and improve health and prevent illness and injury*Collaborate with other health care professionals to identify and resolve patient care issues

Job Duties

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and completion of Master's degree required.  Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.  Current certification in BLS and an updated CPR card required.  Degree of professional training to qualify as a nurse practitioner both professionally and legally to perform all services indicated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and licensure as described in the policy and procedure manual for utilization of nurse practitioners within the Geisinger System required.  Completion of an approved graduate program required. Completion of an approved ACLS program preferred.
