Fairview is on the frontlines in responding to COVID-19 outbreak in Minnesota. Our hospitals and facilities are preparing for the anticipated surge of patients in the coming weeks. As a result, we are seeking additional Telemetry Monitor Technician's to supplement our workforce at St. Joe's Hospital in Saint Paul, MN.
About this position:
48 hours (.6 FTE) every two weeks on the NIGHT shift (11pm - 7:30am)
8 hour shifts, working every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes
Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient
Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate
Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives
Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse
Less than 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience required
EKG Monitoring Course (provided by HealthEast).
