SummaryWe are seeking an RN with experience in med/surg, tele, and nursing leadership for a full-time supervisory position on a busy inpatient unit.
This is a full-time position on a busy inpatient unit that serves patients with a variety of complex diagnoses, including: A&D, GI, renal, pulmonary, ortho, hospice, and oncology.
Will be scheduled for three (3) 12-hour Overnight shifts each week including weekend shifts as scheduled.
The Asst. Nurse Manager is a professional nurse who manages the daily operations of a department (s)to provide services for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizational and medical staff goals. Responsible for promoting the efficient operations to provide effective nursing care of a designated department (s). Manages the department independently under the guidance of an Manager.
Responsibilities- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Promotes optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines.
- Is responsible for department(s) on a 24 hour basis.
Qualifications:
EducationRequired: Academic degree in nursing Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree ExperienceRequired: Minimum 2 years� experience as an RN, with demonstrated leadership ability and 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full time charge nurse/related position CertificationsRequired: Current RN license to practice in the state of TN; American Heart Association issued BLS.
