DuPont Hospital for Children is seeking a Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care. Candidates should be ABP Certified in Pediatric Critical Care and, ideally, have additional training/certification in Cardiology or Anesthesiology. This position includes an academic appointment at Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College at an academic rank commensurate with experience and performance. This individual will serve as Medical Director for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, functioning within an Integrated Practice Unit (IPU), unifying cardiovascular surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, midlevel and allied practitioners in a dedicated physical plant. This organizational structure (IPU) promotes a high level of satisfaction for patients, families and employees. The Nemours Cardiac Center was recently awarded a Three Star Rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for our exceptional outcomes. Additionally, A.I. The Division Chief will lead a multi-disciplined critical care team working collaboratively within the organization to maintain our superb outcomes. This individual will foster the academic productivity and professional development of its faculty, train pediatric critical care, neonatal and cardiology fellows, and continue our participation in national registries and quality improvement initiatives.
