Job Description The SCT-RN provides safe, efficient, and courteous care to patients who require critical care monitoring and interventions during inter-facility transport; this includes management of IV pumps, ventilators and cardiac assist devices, such as IABP and Impella. The RN works well with an augmented team of specialty staff based on patient needs. The SCT-RN responds to 911 calls on an as needed bases and provides advanced pre-hospital care for adult and pediatric populations. Completes all necessary documentation and follows all Policies and Procedures. Requirements Possess NJ State licensure as an RN with 1-2 years' experience in ED or critical care nursing. Possess certifications in: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at a health care provider level. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or ITLS . The RN also holds one of the following certifications; Paramedic, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse(MICN)or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). One of the following Nursing Certifications must be obtained within one year of hire; Critical Care Nurse (CCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN). Candidate may require additional training in endotracheal intubation and be deemed competent by the medical director. Candidate possesses a Current Driver's License and meets the current insurance companies requirements. HazMat & CBRNE Awareness,.CEVO training within 3 years. HazMat and CBRNE Operations within 6 months of employment . NIMS I-700 & 800, ICS-200. Annual RN/ALS Skills Verification.
