Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for UCLA Health. To take on this important role, you must have demonstrated expertise in perioperative nursing, evidence-based practice, consultation, education, mentoring, and change leadership. You will partner with the Unit/Service Line Director in leading the nursing clinical practice area as you coordinate and guide clinical activities/projects. This role involves close collaboration with members of the health care team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies. Above all we're counting on you to maintain a high level of current professional knowledge and competency in order to advance the nursing practice at our Magnet® designated hospital.
QualificationsWe're seeking a highly-skilled clinical leader with current CA RN and CNS licensure and: · Master's degree in nursing program, specializing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. · Minimum of five years RN experience, including three years in perioperative nursing. · National CNS certification preferred. · Exceptional organizational, analytical and presentation skills. · Computer proficiency with MS Office. · One year CNS experience in perioperative nursing preferred.
