The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Thoracic Oncology Surgeon. The successful candidate shall be a practicing physician who will work with Medical Center leadership to further develop a rapidly expanding and comprehensive thoracic surgery program in collaboration with our existing multidisciplinary cancer team. The thoracic oncology surgeon will represent the Thoracic Oncology Program within the MIS and Robotics Program. This position will include leadership opportunities to direct a fully functioning thoracic disease management team and clinical multidisciplinary thoracic disease focused practice, with direct collegial onsite support from medical oncology, pulmonary medicine and nurse navigation. The clinical practice includes directing the future vision of the lung cancer program. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate with the NCI in evaluating the genetic abnormalities associated with progression in lung cancer along with other research opportunities.
Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
Completion of fellowship in CT or Thoracic Surgical Oncology
Minimally invasive thoracic surgery training is required.
Active member or has the ability to become an active member with all necessary clinical privileges on the EHMC medical staff, in full compliance with the Bylaws, Rules and
Maintain skills through documented participation in accredited CME activities consistent
with Board guidelines.
M.D. degree; completed an accredited internship and residency
Currently holds, or has the ability to obtain licensure as per State requirements and medical staff bylaws
